Fall Quarter begins on Monday, September 19, 2024, to Friday, December 9, 2024. Check out UC Davis registration calendar, and other important dates, holidays, and deadlines on the UC Davis academic calendar for the Fall semester of 2024.

1. Fall 2024 Open Registration begins on Saturday, September 3 2024 to Wednesday, September 14, 2024.
2. Registration freeze begins on Thursday, September 15 2024 to Tuesday, September 20, 2024.
3. Fall 2024 Schedule Adjustment Begins on Tuesday, September 20 2024 to Tuesday, October 25, 2024.
4. Fall 2024 Quarter begins on Monday, September 19, 2024.
5. Fall 2024 classes begin on Wednesday, September 21, 2024.
6. 10th Day of instruction is on Tuesday, October 4, 2024.
7. Tuesday, October 4, 2024 is the last day to:
   • Make payment to meet the late fee payment deadline. Students with unpaid balances after the 10th day of instruction will have their registration administratively withdrawn, all courses dropped and fees for the first 10 days of instruction will be charged to the student account using the Schedule of Refunds.
   • Drop designated 10–day–drop courses.
   • File petitions to change from full–time to part-time status.
   • File petitions to declare a minor with the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and the College of Letters and Science Dean’s Office.
   • File Planned Educational Leave Program (PELP) petition.
8. 12th day of instruction is on Thursday, October 6, 2024. It is the last day for wait lists and to add courses.
9. 20th day of instruction is on Tuesday, October 18, 2024. It is the last day to drop designated 20–day–drop courses and file for course materials fee waiver.
10. 25th Day of instruction is on Tuesday, October 25, 2024. It is the last day to Opt for P/NP or S/U grading and Change units of a variable–unit course.
