myLoneStar – Helpful Guide to Access Lonestar Login Portal | Lone Star College

myLoneStar – Helpful Guide to Access Lonestar Login Portal | Lone Star College. myLonestar, also known as iStar, is the student login portal for Lone Star College. It is used to access Lonestar email, academic profiles, change your degree, check your courses, enrol in classes, upload immunization records, access D2L and other vital academic resources.

How to log into myLonestar

  1. On your web browser, navigate to my.lonestar.edu.
  2. Enter your LSC email address.
  3. Then, enter your account password.
  4. Click on Login to access your dashboard.

How to get your Lonestar student ID number

You can look up your 7-digit student ID number by logging in to myLoneStar. One of the tiles on your Student homepage (“Profile”) will display your ID number.

To get your student ID and password,

  1. Visit the MyLoneStar log in page (my.lonestar.edu).
  2. Click on the “Get Username
  3. Enter the last four digits of your Social Security Number, your Last Name, and your Date of Birth. Then hit submit. A screen will appear that has your username. SAVE this information.
  4. Return to the login page and click on “Reset Password”.
  5. Enter your username or student ID number and hit submit. If you have never created a password, this will prompt you to do so. If you have already created a password, you will be required to answer the security questions you created.

You now have your Username and Password. To access your student ID number, log in to your MyLoneStar account. Click on the “Student” icon, and you will see your Student ID under the “Profile” icon.

What is your username?

Your username is a mash-up of your last name with part of your first name. For example, “Eskarina Smith” might have the username esmith or eskasmith, while “John Smith” might have to be jsmith4. If you have a common name, your username may include a number at the end.

It would be best to use your username (and not your student ID number) to sign in to computers on campus or to use the alternate login for the library databases.

myLonestar email

There are three kinds of email addresses you may come across at Lone Star College: D2L, student, and employee.

Your LoneStar student email address is formatted as: [myLoneStar username]@my.LoneStar.edu.

So, for example, a student named Eskarina Smith with the username esmith1 would have the email address: [email protected].
