UF Academic Calendar 2024-2025, Uf Academic Calendar contains the dates, deadlines, or schedule of academic activities and UF holiday schedule for the 2024-2025 academic year. I have separated it into the fall semester, spring semester, and summer semester with their important dates and deadlines.
The University of Florida is a public land-grant research university in Gainesville, Florida. It is a senior member of the State University System of Florida, traces its origins to 1853, and has operated continuously on its Gainesville campus since September 1906.

UF academic calendar fall 2024
UF Fall semester starts from August 24 2024 to December 16, 2024. Below are other important dates and deadlines on the UF Fall 2024 calendar.
According to UF academic calendar for Fall 2024-2025;
- Advance Registration (at or after the assigned start time) starts from March 21, 2024, to August 22, 2024.
- UF Move-In day for Fall 2024 is from August 18 2024 to August 21 2024. Move-in day for Freshmen.
- This is followed by Regular Registration (a $100 late fee after the 11:59 pm deadline) on August 23, 2024.
- UF Fall classes begin on August 24, 2024.
- Add/Drop of classes starts from August 24 to August 26, 2024, and also from August 29 to August 30, 2024 (11:59 pm of the last day).
- Late Registration is from August 24 to August 26, 2024, and also from August 29 to August 30, 2024 (11:59 pm of the last day).
- Non-Degree Registration is on August 26 2024 and from August 29 to August 30, 2024.
- Withdrawal from All Fall Courses with No Fee Liability is on August 30, 2024 (11:59 pm).
- On the UF Fall 2024 calendar, Fee Payments (3:30 pm, University Bursar) is on September 2, 2024.
- S/U Grade Option is September 9, 2024 on the UF academic calendar 2024-2025.
- Withdrawal with 25% Refund (W assigned to all Fall courses) is September 16, 2024.
- Homecoming is on October 7, 2024.
- Withdrawal Deadline (W assigned to all Fall courses) is November 21, 2024.
- November 21 2024 is Drop Deadline (W assigned to the individual course(s). Drops of individual courses must be approved by the student’s college).
- Faculty Course Evaluation Period Opens on November 22, 2024 (Dates can vary by course. Log on to GatorEvals1 to verify).
- UF Thanksgiving break 2024 is November 23 – November 26, 2024.
- Drop or Add a Course after the Drop/Withdrawal Deadline is December 7, 2024. Students must petition their college with appropriate documentation for approval to drop or add after the deadline.
- Withdrawal from All Fall Courses after the Drop/Withdrawal Deadline is also on December 7, 2024 (students must petition their college with appropriate documentation for approval to withdraw from all courses after the deadline).
- Classes End on December 7, 2024.
- Reading Days period is December 8 – December 9, 2024.
- Final exam is from December 10 to December 16, 2024 on the UF Fall 2024 calendar.
- UF Commencement/graduation 2025 period is December 16 – December 17, 2024.
- Degree Status and Final Grades are all available at ONE.UF on December 21, 2024 (view UF transcript also on ONE.UF).
UF academic calendar spring 2025
UF Spring 2025 semester begins on January 9, 2025. Find out other important dates and deadlines on the UF academic calendar for spring 2025.
- On the UF academic calendar, Advance registration for spring 2025 is from October 31, 2024, to January 5, 2025.
- Regular registration follows on the next day, January 6, 2025 (11:59 pm).
- UF Spring 2025 classes start on January 9, 2025.
- Add and drop is from January 9 – January 13, 2025 (11:59 pm on the last day) on the UF academic calendar 2024-2025.
- Late registration is also from January 9 – January 13, 2025 (11:59 pm on the last day).
- Withdrawal from all spring courses with no fee liability is on January 13, 2025.
- Fee Payments and Residency Reclassifications are on January 20, 2025 on the UF academic calendar 2024-2025.
- Degree applications and Withdrawal with a 25% Refund (W assigned to all Spring courses) are all on February 3, 2025.
- UF spring break 2025 is from Saturday, March 11 2025 to Saturday, March 18 2025. The University of Florida spring break 2025.
- Drop deadline (W assigned to individual course) and withdrawal (W assigned to all Spring courses) deadline are on April 14, 2025.
- Also, Drop or Add a Course after the Drop/Withdrawal Deadline and Withdraw from All Spring Courses after the Drop/Withdrawal Deadline all on April 26, 2025.
- On the UF academic calendar 2024-2025, Spring classes end on April 26, 2025.
- The final exam period is from April 29, 2025, to May 5, 2025.
- Commencement is from May 5, 2025, to May 7, 2025.
- Your degree status and final grades are available on May 10, 2025.

- To view courses within a particular field of study, navigate to one.uf.edu/soc.
- Select from the filter menu and press “Search”.
- Courses can be filtered based upon any of the available criteria.
UF calendar Summer 2024
This is the UF calendar activities for Summer A and Summer C 2024.
- Advanced registration for Summer semester 2024 starts from March 28 – May 5 for Summer A and from March 28 – May 5 for Summer C.
- Regular registration for Summer A and C is on May 6, 2024.
- Classes start on May 9, 2024.
- Add/Drop, late registration, and Non-Degree registration are all from May 9 – May 10, 2024, for Summer A/C.
- Withdrawal from all courses with no fee liability is on May 10.
- Degree applications are on May 11 for Summer A and June 29 for Summer C.
- Fee Payments and residency reclassifications are on May 20.
- Drop or Add a Course after the Drop/Withdrawal Deadline is on June 17 and August 5 for Summer A and C respectively.
- Classes End on June 17 for Summer A and August 5 for Summer C.
- Final exams are in class.
- Your degree status and final grades are available on June 22 for Summer A and August 10 for Summer C.
