Texas a&m academic calendar fall 2024

TAMU academic calendar fall semester 2024 starts from Wednesday, August 24 2024 to Wednesday, December 14, 2024.

1. Tuesday, August 25 2024 is the last day to register for Tamu fall classes.
2. TAMU fall classes start on Wednesday, August 24 2024. Tamu fall 2024 start date or first day of class for fall 2024.
3. Tuesday, August 30 2024 is last day for adding/dropping courses for the fall semester.
4. Monday, September 5 2024 is Labor Day. TAMU Faculty and Staff Holiday according to the TAMU holiday calendar.
5. Friday, September 9 2024 is Fall official census date according to TAMU academic calendar 2024-2025.
6. Wednesday, September 21 2024 is the Undergraduate deadline to submit a request for change of curriculum.
7. Last day to apply for all degrees to be awarded in December without a late fee is Friday, September 25 2024.
8. Undergraduate degree plan approval deadline is Friday September 30, 2024.
9. TAMU Mid-semester grades due on Monday, October 10 2024 at 12 p.m. (noon).
10. TAMU Fall break 2024 is from Monday, October 10 2024 to Tuesday, October 11 2024.
11. TAMU Bonfire 1999 Remembrance Day is Friday, November 18 2024.
12. According to TAMU calendar Friday, November 18 2024 (5 p.m) is the;
    • Last day for all students to drop courses with no penalty (Q-drop).
    • Last day to change Kinesiology 198/199 grade type for fall 2024.
    • Last day to officially withdraw from the University.
    • Last day to apply online for December 2024 graduation.
13. Reading Day is Wednesday, November 25 2024.
14. TAMU a&m Thanksgiving holiday is on Thursday, November 24 2024 and Friday, November 25 2024.
15. The last day to apply for all degrees to be awarded in December is Wednesday December 7 2024.
16. Wednesday, December 7 2024 is the last day of fall semester classes on the TAMU academic calendar 2024-2025.
17. Fall semester final examinations for all TAMU students is on Friday, December 9 2024 and from Monday, December 12 2024 to Wednesday, December 14 2024.
18. Thursday, December 15 , 5 p.m., is the last day for December undergraduate degree candidates to apply for Tuition Rebate in TAMU Howdy Portal.
19.  Final grades for all TAMU students due on Monday, December 19 2024 at Noon. Grades will be available for viewing in Howdy after 5 p.m.

TAMU a&m move-in day fall 2024

TAMU a&m Move-in day 2024 for fall semester is from August 17 2024 to August 25 2024 depending on where you’re living on campus and will be scheduled first-come-first-serve.

According to the TAMU academic calendar, you will schedule your Check-In Appointment in myHousing Portal. Whether you are a freshman or continuing student, ensure you complete the Annual Housing Orientation, also accessed in myHousing Portal before scheduling your Check-In Appointment.

At your check-in appointment, which takes place in person, you will check in to your hall or apartment and receive your key. You will need to bring your TAMU ID or another photo ID to check-in.

Once you have checked in, you can move your belongings into your room/apartment right then, or at another time that is convenient to you.

You don’t have to move all your belongings in during your appointment time. You will receive details on where your specific check-in will take place in early August. Constantly check the TAMU academic calendar to see if there are any changes.

If you have not yet received your TAMU ID and your photo has been approved, you should receive it at your hall/apartment check-in appointment. If your photo has not been approved, you will receive a temporary access card that will grant you entrance to your hall/apartment building.

TAMU academic calendar spring 2025

TAMU academic calendar Spring semester 2025 starts from Tuesday, January 17 2025 to Wednesday, May 10 2025.

1. Graduation application opens for all students planning to graduate in May 2025 on January 4 2025.
2. Friday, January 13, 2025 is the last day to register for Tamu spring semester classes.
3. Monday, January 16 2025 is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Holiday.
4. TAMU Spring semester classes start on Tuesday, January 17 2025.
5. Monday, January 25, 2025 is last day for adding/dropping courses for the Spring semester.
6. Wednesday, February 1 2025, is Spring official census date.
7. Monday, February 13 2025 is the Undergraduate deadline to submit a request for change of curriculum.
8. Friday, February 17 2025 is the last day to apply for all degrees to be awarded in May without a late fee.
9. Monday, February 20 2025 is President’s Day Holiday on the TAMU academic calendar 2024-2025.
10. Mid-semester grades due on Monday, March 6, 2025 at 12 p.m. (noon).
11. TAMU a&m Spring Break 2025 is from Monday, March 13 2025 to Friday, March 17 2025.
12. Friday, April 7 2025 is Reading day, no classes.
13. Tuesday, April 18 2025 (5 p.m) is the;
    • Last day for all students to drop courses with no penalty (Q-drop).
    • Last day to change Kinesiology 198/199 grade type for Spring 2025.
    • Last day to officially withdraw from the University.
    • Last day to apply online for May 2025 graduation.
14. Last day to apply for all degrees to be awarded in May is Tuesday, May 2 2025.
15. Last day of spring semester classes is Tuesday May 2, 2025,
16. Spring semester final examinations for all TAMU students is from Thursday, May 4 2025 to Tuesday, May 9 2025. Weekends are excluded.
17. Wednesday, May 10 2025 at 5 p.m., is the deadline for May undergraduate degree candidates to apply for Tuition Rebate in TAMU Howdy.
18. Commencement and Commissioning is from Thursday, May 11 2025 to Saturday, May 13 2025.
19. Final grades for all students due to the Office of the Registrar on Monday, May 15 2025 at 12 p.m. (noon). Grades will be available for viewing in Howdy after 5 p.m.

TAMU academic calendar Summer semester and term 2024 starts from Tuesday May 31 2024 to Wednesday August 10 2024.

1. Tuesday May 31 2024, is the first day of first term and 10-week semester classes.
2. The last day for adding/dropping courses for the first term and 10-week semester Friday, June 03 2024.
3. Friday June 03 2024, is Summer first term and 10-week official census date.
4. Monday, June 20 2024 is the deadline for all students to drop courses with no penalty (Q-drop) for the first term; change KINE 198/199 Grade Type for the first term; and to officially withdraw from the University for the first term.
5. Undergraduate deadline to submit a request for change of curriculum is Monday June 27 2024.
6. Friday, July 01 2024 is the last day of first summer term classes.
7. Summer I term final examinations for all students is on Tuesday, July 05 2024.
8. Tuesday, July 05, is the last day to register for second term classes.
9. Wednesday, July 06, is the first day of second term classes.
10. July 08 12 p.m. (noon), is first term final grades due to the Office of the Registrar.
11. Monday, July 11 2024, is the last day for adding/dropping courses for the second term. Same day is the TAMU Summer second term official census date.
12. Wednesday, July 20 2024, is the deadline for all students to drop courses with no penalty (Q-drop) for the 10-week semester. Same day is the deadline to officially withdraw from the University for the 10-week semester.
13. Tuesday, July 26 2024 is the deadline for all students to drop courses with no penalty (Q-drop) for the second term; change KINE 198/199 Grade Type for the second term; and to officially withdraw from the University for the second term.
14. Monday, August 08 2024 is the last day of second summer term and 10-week classes. Same day is the deadline to apply for all degrees to be awarded in August.
15. Summer II term & 10-week final examinations for all TAMU students is from Tuesday, August 09 – Wednesday, August 10 2024.
16. Final grades for second term and 10-week semester due to the Office of the Registrar on Monday, August 15 2024, 12 p.m. (noon).

TAMU final exam schedule

All semester examinations are to be given in accordanc Texas A&M University – TAMU Academic Calendar 2024/2025e with the schedule published by the Office of the Registrar on the TAMU academic calendar.

The final examination shall be designed to cover a period not to exceed two hours. Courses carrying one credit hour of theory or practice shall have one hour examinations given during the last class period.

When a student is scheduled for three final examinations in one day, the student may request rescheduling of one of the examinations through his/her dean.

The dean, department head, and faculty member will make every effort to accommodate the student when such a request is made.

Final examinations for classes meeting at times other than those listed above in the tamu academic calendar will be scheduled during the week of finals at a time agreed upon by the faculty member and students.

All students who are co-enrolled at other institutions should compare the finals schedules at those institutions with their TAMU finals and discuss potential conflicts with their professors well in advance of the scheduled exams.
