CSUF academic calendar fall 2024

Check out the important dates and deadlines on the CSUF academic calendar for Fall semester of 2024.

1. TITAN Registration – Registration and Change of Program by class level begins from April 18, 2024 to August 19 2024.
2. CSUF Fall quarter starts on Wednesday, August 17 2024.
3. CSUF move-in day 2024 is Thursday, August 18 2024 and Friday, August 19 2024. Other instructions will be communicated to you via your CSUF email.
4. Fall classes begin on Saturday, August 20 2024.
5. Last registration (with $25 late fee) begins through TITAN Online on Saturday, August 20 2024.
6. Friday, August 19 2024 is the last day to register without paying $25 late fee. It is also the last day for full refund of resident and non-resident mandatory fees.
7. Add/Drop is from August 20 2024 to August 28 2024 via TITAN Online. No signatures required to add or drop most classes.
8. August 28 2024 is the last day students will be enrolled from waitlist.
9. Department-issued registration permit to register and add all classes is from August 29 2024 to September 6 2024. Registration is through TITAN Online. All permits issued in week two expire at midnight; Tuesday, September 6 according to CSUF academic calendar.
10. September 4 2024 is the deadline to file online graduation check application for January 2025 bachelor’s degree candidates.
11. Labor Day Holiday is Monday, September 5 2024 on the CSUF academic calendar 2024-2025.
12. Tuesday, September 6 2024 is the;
    • Last day of late registration with $25 late fee. Last day to add most classes with registration permit through TITAN Online.
    • Last day to declare audit and grading basis.
    • Last day to drop classes without a grade of “W”.
    • Last day for refund if status is reduced from full-time to part-time (6 or fewer units).
    • All permits issued during the first and second week of classes EXPIRE at midnight.
    • Last day for Excess Units approval for graduating seniors.
13. September 12 2024 is the deadline to file online graduation check application for January 2025 master’s and doctorate degree candidates.
14. Census date is September 19 2024 on the CSUF academic calendar.
15. Priority graduation check deadline for spring 2025 is Saturday, October 1 2024.
16. Initial period for filing application for admission to the fall 2025 semester begins on Saturday, October 1 2024.
17. October 21 2024 is the last day for undergraduate students to pay $115 graduation fee for January 2025.
18. The last day for departments to approve undergraduates candidacy for January 2025 is October 21 2024.
19. October 21 2024 is the last day to receive a pro-rated refund of mandatory fees for complete withdrawal from classes.
20. Final deadline to submit a withdrawal request from classes with a grade of “W” for serious and compelling reasons is Thursday, November 10 2024 according to the CSUF academic calendar.
21. Veterans Day holiday is Friday, November 11 2024.
22. CSUF Fall break 2024 is from Monday, November 21 2024 to Sunday, November 27 2024.
23. The final deadline to submit a withdrawal request of “W” for medical reasons is December 2 2024.
24. Friday, December 9 2024 is the last day of classes for Fall semester 2024.
25. Fall semester 2024 examinations is from Saturday, December 11 2024 to Friday, December 16 2024.
26. Fall 2024 semester ends on Tuesday, January 3, 2025.
27. Fall semester 2024 grades are due on Tuesday, January 3, 2025 in in Titan Online Student Center.
28. Effective date of graduation for those completing requirements is Tuesday, January 3, 2025.

1. Winter Session A classes begin on Saturday, December 17, 2024.
2. Winter break is from Monday, December 26, 2024 to Monday, January 2, 2025.
3. New Year’s Holiday is on Monday, January 2, 2025.
4. Winter Session B classes begin on Tuesday, January 3, 2025.
5. Monday, January 16 2025 is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Holiday.
6. Winter Session 2025 classes end on Monday, January 20 2025.
7. Winter Session grades are due on Friday, January 27 2025.

1. CSUF Spring Semester begins on Tuesday January 17 2025.
2. Spring classes begin on Saturday, January 21 2025.
3. January 29 2025 is the last day students will be enrolled from waitlist.

11. March 18 2025 is the last day for undergraduate students to pay $115 graduation fee for May 2025.
12. CSUF Spring break 2025 is from Monday, March 27 2025 to Sunday, April 2 2025.
13. Cesar Chavez Day Holiday is Friday, March 31 2025.
14. Classes resume on Monday, April 3 2025.
15. April 6 2025 is the Last day to receive a pro-rated refund of mandatory fees for complete withdrawal from classes.
16. April 22 2025 is the Final deadline to submit a withdrawal request from classes with a grade of ‘W’ for a serious non-medical reason.
17. May 6 2025 is the Final deadline to submit a withdrawal request of ‘W’ for medical reasons.
18. Friday, May 12 2025 is the last day of classes.
19. Spring semester examinations period is Saturday, May 14 2025 – Friday, May 20 2025.
20. Graduation or Commencement activities period is from Monday, May 22 2025 to Thursday, May 25 2025.
