- Student Account Payment 4x Payment Plan closes on July 31, 2024.
- Student Account Payment 3x Payment Plan Option opens on August 01 2024 according to UA academic calendar 2024-2025.
- Fall 2024 Bill is due, and cancellation (subject to approval) is on August 10, 2024.
- Payment in full or participation in a payment plan is required before noon on August 10, 2024 for all Fall bills. Schedules will be canceled for students who haven’t paid in full or participated in a payment plan before noon on this date.
- August 11 2024 is the Start of Financial Aid Disbursements for Fall (includes Law) according to the University of Alabama academic calendar.
- The University of Alabama, UA move-in day fall 2024 is from Friday, August 12 2024 to Tuesday, August 16 2024. Move-In times may vary by residence hall. Due to an overlap in summer and fall semesters, only students doing Summer-to-Fall transition and those participating in an early approved group will be allowed to schedule a move-in before Sunday, August 7. Students who are not participating in an early activity that will move in prior to regular move-in cannot move in before this date on the UA academic calendar.
- Fall 2024 Late Enrollment Bill is Available on August 15, 2024.
- UA Fall 2024 classes start for Full Term on August 17, 2024. The University of Alabama Fall start date.
- August 24 2024 is the last day to Add a Course or Drop Course Without a Grade of “W” for the Fall Full Term.
- Registration begins for Fall 2 on August 25, 2024.
- Med School Payment Plan option closes on August 26, 2024.
- Fall 2024 Bill Due and Cancellation (subject to approval) is on September 02 2024 on the University of Alabama academic calendar.

- Labor Day holiday (UA closed) is September 05, 2024.
- VA Payment Plan option closes on September 10, 2024.
- Constitution Day (observed) is September 16, 2024. The University of Alabama classes are in session, and UA offices are open.
- Classes begin for Fall 2 on September 19, 2024.
- UA Student Account Payment 3x Payment Plan option closes on September 21 2024 according to UA academic calendar.
- October 05 2024 is the Midterm Grade Entry Deadline (11:59 p.m.). Midterm grades are due tonight at 11:59 p.m. Instructors are required to submit midterm grades for all 100- and 200-level courses.
- UA Degree Application Deadline is October 07, 2024. It is the last day to submit a degree application online through myBama.
- October 26 2024 is the last day to Drop a Course with a Grade of “W” for the Fall Full Term. This is a student’s last opportunity to drop a course, and drops after this date must be approved and processed by the student’s college.
- The last day for All Examinations and Extended Assignments is November 18, 2024. The week preceding the final examination period each semester is reserved as a time in which students may concentrate on completing course work and preparing for final examinations. The University prohibits all other examinations and extended assignments during that week.
- The University of Alabama, UA Thanksgiving break 2024 Week is November 21, 2024 – November 27, 2024. UA offices are closed from November 24 – November 25, 2024.
- Classes End for Full Term and Fall 2 on December 02, 2024.
- December 02 2024 is the last day to Withdraw from the Fall Full/Fall 2 Terms. This is the last day students have to withdraw from the term (all classes) without requiring approval from the student’s college Dean’s office. Withdrawals from Nursing and Law require approval from the respective Dean’s office according to UA academic calendar 2024-2025.
- UA Final exams are from Monday, December 05 2024 to Friday, December 09 2024.
- Fall Commencement/graduation is on Saturday, December 10 2024.
- December 13 2024 is the Final Grade Entry Deadline (11:59 p.m.). Any missing grades as of the 11:59 p.m. deadline will result in grades of “N” being assigned as placeholders.
- UA Winter break 2024 is from December 22, 2024 – January 03, 2025. Classes Dismissed – Holiday Break (UA offices closed). UA Offices Resume Normal Business Hours on January 3, 2025.
- January 11 2025 is the Undergraduate Transfer Credit Deadline. The deadline for receipt of transfer credit (on an official transcript) for December graduates. If transfer credit is not received by this date, students will be removed from December graduation and will be required to reapply for May graduation according to UA academic calendar 2024-2025.
- January 13 2025 is Degree Completion Deadline. All degrees will be either awarded or denied by the Degree Completion Deadline; no degrees will be awarded after the published deadline. The degree candidate must ensure all requirements are met at the end of the term by the published deadline.
- Diploma Address & Diploma Name Change Deadline is January 13, 2025. The last day for students to change the diploma address is in myBama (Click View Graduation Applications link). Any changes made to the diploma address on the degree application after this date will not be reflected in the diploma order and will lead to delays in receiving diplomas.
- February 03 2025 is Diploma Ship Day according to the University of Alabama academic calendar. Diplomas for all December graduates will be shipped no later than this date. When the diploma has shipped, a notification will be sent to the Crimson email account.

- The University of Alabama, UA Degree Application is Available from June 6, 2024. The online degree application in myBama becomes available for Graduate & Undergraduate students.
- Spring 2025 registration time assignments will be available by October 1, 2024.
- Registration for Spring 2025 begins on October 24, 2024.
- Classes begin for Winter Interim on December 12 2024 on the UA academic calendar 2024-2025.
- Classes End for Winter Interim on January 03, 2025.
- UA classes start for Spring Full Term on January 11, 2025.
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday (UA closed) is January 16, 2025.
- January 18 2025 is the last day to Add a Course or Drop a Course Without a Grade of “W” for Spring Full Term.
- January 24 2025 is the last day to Drop a Monday-Only For-Credit Course Without a Grade of “W” for Spring Full Term.
- Classes begin for Spring 2 on February 13, 2025.
- Midterm Grade Entry Deadline is March 03, 2025 (11:59 p.m.) on the UA academic calendar.
- March 03 2025 is Degree Application Deadline. The last day to submit a degree application online through myBama. An application will be accepted after the published deadline after petition and approval by the student’s college. If approved, the student will be assessed a $25 non-refundable late fee in addition to the graduation fee.
- UA Spring break 2025 is from March 10, 2025, to March 19, 2025. Spring 2025 Holidays begin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 10. The University of Alabama offices is closed.
- Registration for Summer and Fall 2025 begins on March 27, 2025. Summer and Fall, 2025 registration time assignments will be available by March 1, 2025.
- March 29 2025 is the last day to Drop a Course with a Grade of “W” for Full Spring Term. This is a student’s last opportunity to drop a course. The student’s college must approve and process drops after this date on the UA academic calendar.
- UA Honors Week is April 03 – April 07, 2025.
- Honors Day is April 07, 2025. Classes Dismissed (UA offices open).
- April 21 2025 is the last day for All Examinations and Extended Assignments.
- April 28 is the last day to Withdraw from the Spring Full/Spring 2 Terms. This is the last day students have to withdraw from the term (all classes) without requiring approval from the student’s college Dean’s office.
