It’s a new month and Sassa beneficiaries would then be waiting to collect their Sassa grants. Sassa has now announced when Sassa grants will be paid in the month of August.
These payment dates do not include the Special Relief of Distress (SRD) grant as there is no fixed payment date for the grant. Beneficiaries will find payment dates when checking the status of the grant.

Sassa has made the following clear to beneficiaries, “there is no need to rush to withdraw cash on the first day” and continued to say that once the money is in the account, it will remain there until it is needed.
Beneficiaries should however remember that you should collect your grant from one of the alternative points and not the Post Office. These alternative points include PicknPay, Shoprite, Checkers, USave and Boxer Stores. Beneficiaries can also use their Sassa gold card at bank ATMs.
In April, Sassa announced changes to when grants will be paid which saw grants being paid earlier. Now, Sassa grants are paid from the second day of every month. In the past, these grants were provided on the first Wednesday of a month.
